Hosting

The pages are served by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States, from its servers in Frankfurt, Germany.

The database, the accounts and the files are held by Supabase Pte. Ltd., in the eu-west-1 region, in Ireland.

Emails are sent through Resend, operated by Plus Five Five, Inc. Mail received at the domain is relayed by ImprovMX.

Not all three publish a postal address in their own documents; their privacy policies are at supabase.com/privacy, resend.com/legal/privacy-policy and netlify.com/privacy.

Intellectual property

The text, the images, the name and the code of this site belong to its publisher. Reproducing them without written permission is not allowed.

Liability

Roomizz keeps the state of shared things in a home. It gives no legal, tax or financial advice.

The publisher is not answerable for what the members of a home write to each other, nor for what they do with what they keep there.

Governing law

French law applies. Personal data is processed under the General Data Protection Regulation and the French data protection act. French courts have jurisdiction.

Personal data and cookies

The privacy policy is further down this page.

This site sets no tracking cookie and runs no audience measurement.

Privacy policy

What is collected

Your email address, to recognise you and to write to you.

Your first name, the one you type yourself, shown to the other members of your home.

What you keep in Roomizz: the name of your home, its rooms, its machines, the visits, the parcels, the absences, the repairs.

What you put in the vault: door codes, the wifi password, contact numbers. The members of your home can read them, and nobody else.

Photos you take: of something that has run out, of a parcel or a letter that has arrived. They are stored privately, read only by the members of your home, and the place a photo was taken is removed from the file on your phone before it is sent. A photo of an arrival is deleted thirty days later.

A code or a note you add to something you are expecting, for whoever takes it in: a locker code, a gate code, which bell to ring. The members of your home can read them, nobody else can, they are never put in a notification, and they are erased the moment the thing arrives.

Whether you opened a notification, and when: either because you tapped it, or because you opened Roomizz within fifteen minutes of it being sent. Nothing else about it. There is no tracking pixel and nothing is loaded from anywhere; your phone opens the app and the app writes the time on that one message.

A fingerprint of your IP address, never the address itself: it is salted and hashed before it is written, and it is used only to count attempts and stop abuse.

Why, on what basis, and for how long

Running your account and your home: performance of the service you asked for. Kept while the account exists.

Sending you the service's messages, by email and by notification: performance of the service. The sending log is kept ninety days.

Stopping abuse and capping how much is sent: legitimate interest. The fingerprints are kept twenty four hours.

The waiting list, when you ask for access: your consent. Kept until you sign up or ask to be removed.

The photo of a parcel or a letter that arrived: performance of the service. Deleted thirty days after it arrived.

The code or the note on something you are expecting: performance of the service. Erased as soon as it arrives.

Whether a notification was opened: legitimate interest, to know whether the messages are worth sending. Kept with the message, which is kept ninety days.

Who else holds it

Supabase, for the database and the accounts, in Ireland.

Netlify, for serving the pages, from Frankfurt.

Resend, for sending emails, and ImprovMX for mail received.

Apple, Google and Mozilla deliver notifications to your phone. Their content is encrypted by Roomizz before it is sent and only your device can read it: these services cannot see it. They only see technical information: that a notification is being sent to a device, when, and its size.

Transfers outside the European Union

Netlify, Resend and ImprovMX are American companies, and so are the notification services of Apple, Google and Mozilla. Transfers rest on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

The home's own data stays in the European Union: Supabase in Ireland, Netlify in Germany.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected, erased or handed back to you, by writing to hello@roomizz.eu.

As it stands on 1 October 2026, said plainly: erasure is done by hand, on request. The work that automates it and anonymises what remains is under way, and this page is updated the day it is live.

You can complain to the French data protection authority, Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, cnil.fr.

Terms of use

The service

Roomizz says who has what in a shared home: the machines, the rooms, the visits, the parcels, the absences. It does not count money and splits no expense.

Roomizz sends nothing on your behalf to the chat apps you already use. What passes stays in your conversation, what lasts stays here.

The price

The service is free for the first hundred people who register. They stay free.

What you put in it

Each member answers for what they keep in the vault and for what they open to their guests. A guest link shows what you chose to show, and nothing else.

Do not put in Roomizz what you would not hand to the people you live with.

Suspension

An account used to harm, to send in bulk or to work around the service's limits can be suspended without notice.

Governing law

French law applies, and French courts have jurisdiction.

Cookies

What is kept on your phone

Your session, so you do not sign in again every time.

Your language, the home you last looked at, the last email address typed on the sign-in screen, the first name you gave on a guest page, and a few notices you have already read so they are not shown again.

All of it is kept by your browser, for you alone. None of it goes to anybody else and none of it follows you from one site to another.

No banner

There is no audience measurement, no advertising tracker and no third party cookie. Nothing here needs your consent, so nothing asks for it.
